Deep Sea Fishing

On Thursday Pastor Segar took us fishing on his boat, it was a lot of fun!

                                                                          Bait

We caught a lot of these sea monkey fish, they weren't very good to eat though
so we had to throw them all back

Pastor Sagar was so kind in taking off the fish and doing all the dirty work ;)

We really wanted to catch a flounder to eat but none of the ones we caught were big enough to pass the regulation :(  This one was the biggest we caught.

Janna caught a baby flounder

We caught this spider crab nibbling our bait

These starfish were on clam shells that got stuck on our hooks

Hermit crabs we picked up on the beach

These bluefish were the only fish we kept for food

Last Week in NYC!

Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Barker

This is the pillar in the front of the church, the hole is from a bullet that killed a man
 in a drive-by shooting. :(

Moments is a night club next door that gave us plenty of noise on the nights it was open!

                                                               Children's meetings :)

The kids this week were really good singers, so they sang some of
our children's meetings songs for the Friday night service.

This is the 7 days of creation song, the kids did a great job!

Here we are at the Stop 20 Diner, if you visit  Pastor Barker most likely
you will eat at this place!

Nissi played the piano for us this week since we didn't have
a piano player with us, we had a great time getting to know her!

Pastor Jimmy Victorino is a missionary visiting NY from the Philippines, he is a great
painter and painted these pictures for us.

Sightseeing in New York

On Saturday we went to see some sights in New York
 Waiting for the Subway
The Subway, was fairly empty on the way to Manhattan, but
when we were returning all tired there were no seats. Go figure :)

We rode the Staten Island Ferry to get a good view of the Statue

                                                                It was pretty windy!

It was great to have Crystal showing us around, we would've been lost
                                                                         without her!

                                                               The Statue of Liberty

Lunch Time!

You had to basically fight your way to take a picture with this bull!

                                                           We visited Wall Street

Got a few drinks from DD to cool down with

                                                                     9-11 Memorial

Had to get a picture of this random dice!

2nd Week in New York!

This week we were with Pastor Bickle at Bethel Baptist Fellowship

They rent four store fronts for their church. Two of them are for the English
church, and the other two are for the Russian Church (pictured below)

On Thursday a man from the church took us across the street and told us the
story of how the church got these store fronts. It was pretty amazing how God
answered their prayers!

Here are the weekly children's meeting pictures :)

This family was very sweet, they made us feel right at home!
Their girls, Becky and Jose had a great time in children's meetings, they we're so sad to                     see us leave, though I can't see why ;)

On Thursday Pastor took us to Coney Island, one of the oldest amusement parks.
We went mainly to just look around and eat at Nathan's Hot dogs.

Cyclone is the 8th oldest roller coaster in the US!

After we left Coney Island we drove around a Orthodox Jewish neighborhood.
It was very interesting, you felt like you were in a different country!

We stopped at a Jewish Bookstore,
I thought this Jewish version of Who's it? was interesting.

They also have their own version of Patch the Pirate! ;)
