Sightseeing in New York

On Saturday we went to see some sights in New York
 Waiting for the Subway
The Subway, was fairly empty on the way to Manhattan, but
when we were returning all tired there were no seats. Go figure :)

We rode the Staten Island Ferry to get a good view of the Statue

                                                                It was pretty windy!

It was great to have Crystal showing us around, we would've been lost
                                                                         without her!

                                                               The Statue of Liberty

Lunch Time!

You had to basically fight your way to take a picture with this bull!

                                                           We visited Wall Street

Got a few drinks from DD to cool down with

                                                                     9-11 Memorial

Had to get a picture of this random dice!

2nd Week in New York!

This week we were with Pastor Bickle at Bethel Baptist Fellowship

They rent four store fronts for their church. Two of them are for the English
church, and the other two are for the Russian Church (pictured below)

On Thursday a man from the church took us across the street and told us the
story of how the church got these store fronts. It was pretty amazing how God
answered their prayers!

Here are the weekly children's meeting pictures :)

This family was very sweet, they made us feel right at home!
Their girls, Becky and Jose had a great time in children's meetings, they we're so sad to                     see us leave, though I can't see why ;)

On Thursday Pastor took us to Coney Island, one of the oldest amusement parks.
We went mainly to just look around and eat at Nathan's Hot dogs.

Cyclone is the 8th oldest roller coaster in the US!

After we left Coney Island we drove around a Orthodox Jewish neighborhood.
It was very interesting, you felt like you were in a different country!

We stopped at a Jewish Bookstore,
I thought this Jewish version of Who's it? was interesting.

They also have their own version of Patch the Pirate! ;)

Our 1st of three weeks in New York City!

New York Skyline

We were at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Sawyer

It was good to be with Tessa and Crystal again!

They bought us some interesting Asian food

                                                                    Seaweed,
it tasted kinda salty and fishy :)

                                                          This is Bubble tea,
the "bubbles" are tapioca balls at the bottom of the cup.
You suck up the balls and juice with a straw,
it's kinda like drinking and chewing at the same time!

                                                       Children's Meetings

This is Barbara, she got saved on Thursday night!

Evangeline (on the left) had quite the little personality!
She was pointing her dad out to us and then whispered,
"I wish he was my husband!" Pretty cute!

On Sunday night we went to a Diner and it had this really random door for the restrooms, it made us think of a jail :)
