Anchorage

This week we had a meeting cancel last minute and we didn't have enough time to reschedule another.
Anchorage Christian Camp graciously allowed us to stay at their facilities.

They had a gorgeous lake with beautiful sunsets

Romantic : )

...and not so romantic!
Stephanie enjoyed taking pictures...

The camp had a pet alligator named Al. He has broken out of his tank before and one time he went down to the lake and swam around until they could catch him again!!!
Ouch!!! He has bitten people before.
This is a video of Al, the alligator, eating a toad we caught!
One of the camp staff offered to take us out on a speed boat ride. It was a beautiful day for a ride!

They were happy...until...
The driver turned the boat in such a way that a wave of cold water swept over them.
                                                     They were completely soaked.

We were having Bible memory outside one day when we spotted some lizards.
A half an hour later we had caught 5 lizards. So much for concentrating outside ;-)

One night they lit a campfire and we roasted marshmallows!

Outside our trailer one night we were suprised to find them gutting a deer that they had recently killed. We had more pictures, but we didn't want to gross anybody out :-\

Rock climbing was open one day as well.
Some made it to the top!

Attempting to play pool...

We followed Miss Leanna's great example ;-)

Roller hockey was the grand finale of our week. The last night we all got together and formed teams. It ended up being a very fun and interesting time, as you can see by the pictures and videos below.

!!!CHARGE!!!

Our determined team :-)
Some people struggled on balance ;-)
You can guess who!
This first video is of some of our Fumbles and Falls!
*excuse the cheesy ending ;-(
The second video is the Grand Entrance of our players!

Morgantown WV

It was wonderful to be able to visit with the Bunners again!

This has to be one of our most interesting campfires yet!
Instead of burning wood they burned an old couch, I guess
it's a West Virginia thing! It actually is illegal to do, but the
                                                   church got permission :)

Downtown Fredericksburg

We went to Fredericksburg one day...

We thought this sign was interesting:)

Walking along these little shops,  we looked at different historical sites.

This is a picture of us walking to one museum that gave us free admission. They had some clothes that we could dress up in, so we dressed up!

The wonderful couple;)

George Washington's brother built this tavern.

The home of Mary Washington, bought for her by her son, George Washington.

Her garden...

 An old auction block!
We finally stop to take a break outside a museum.

We soon returned back to the church, but enjoyed our little field trip!:)
